I am the head chef and owner of Flour Sack Bakehouse! We are a family owned and operated, smoke free, pet free home bakery located in Dalton, GA. Everything is freshly made from scratch using family recipes when possible. My love for cooking and baking comes from my Mamaw Marie. At an early age I always helped Mamaw with homemade fudge, ice cream, banana pudding, and so much more... Mamaw didn't have a lot of money but God gifted her with so much more. Mamaw loved and accepted everyone around her and she never met a stranger. Always finding something good in everyone and sharing Gods love through her gift of cooking. Mamaw passed away in the summer of "22" opening my eyes to how much I really loved cooking. I decided to carry on Mamaw's tradition of cooking and enrolled in Rel Maples Institute for Culinary Arts at Walters State Community College. I will graduated in the spring of "24" with my Associates of Applied Science with a concentration in Culinary Arts Baking and Pastry. I've always been told to find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I enjoy baking and pastry decorating so much, it feels more like a hobby. I give God the glory for putting this desire and purpose in my heart and also my Mamaw for always showing me love and giving me lasting memories through spreading Gods love through cooking.
